Nestled in the heart of Union City on Decoto Road, this modern, bustling eatery offers a welcoming space where both casual diners and food enthusiasts can indulge in a symphony of flavors designed to satisfy cravings for comfort and culinary craftsmanship.
The star of the menu here is undoubtedly the Pork Xiaolongbao 小龙包, delicate soup dumplings that burst with rich, savory broth and tender pork with every bite. Diners consistently rave about these XLBs, with many calling them among the best in the Bay Area, especially when paired with a dash of their signature chili sauce. Equally enticing are the Shrimp and Pork Potstickers, boasting a perfect crisp exterior and a juicy, flavorful filling, and the Shrimp & Pork Wontons with Spicy Sauce, which deliver a lively kick balanced with a smooth, satisfying texture.
Beyond the dumplings, the menu offers a harmonious blend of fresh greens and comforting soups that underscore Din Ding’s commitment to authentic, homestyle flavors. The Garlic Spinach and Sautéed String Bean provide vibrant, garlicky greens that complement the richness of the meat dishes, while broths like the Hot & Sour Soup and Chicken Soup With Corn bring warmth and complexity to the table.
The dining experience here is both efficient and relaxed. Diners fill out their orders on a menu, which staff then input to ensure prompt, accurate service as dishes arrive fresh and hot. The atmosphere hums with the energy of hungry food lovers returning time and again — a testament to the restaurant's quality and consistency. Parking can get busy, especially during peak hours, but the buzz is well worth navigating for.

We ordered way too much as always. We only had 6 people. Everything was good. The noodle soups, pot stickers, green beans, soup dumplings, cucumber salad. The sautéed veggies could have used more garlic. Would definitely come back when in the area. The parking lot gets full since there are a lot of places to eat here.
We went here super early around 4 pm and there was no wait. I hear that there’s a bad wait when you go during peak time but we had no issue! The XLB was fire, probably the best I’ve had anywhere in the bay. With some chili sauce was just perf. The spicy wontons were just as good, those were probably my fave and that sauce they put them in is amazing. The zhajiangmian noodles were okay, they were cold which was odd and my friend thought it was probably because they had been sitting out or something. But the flavor was good. The service was fast but our server was not polite. Just business. Overall a good experience though! My friend and I got these three dishes, we were super full and it was $49 before tip.
We enjoyed our first visit here. It is a modern restaurant where you write the quantity on a menu. The staff punch in the order and give you back a ticket of your order. The dishes come out when they're ready and the staff crosses the item off your ticket. We got 9 dishes. The combination chow mein was surprisingly good. The honey walnut prawn was a good portion and nice and crispy under the sauce. Their take on broccoli beef was refreshing, not boring. Someone in the reviews said the peashoots could have more garlic, and while not bad, I'd agree that they could use either some more salt or garlic. I preferred the pork xlb over the crab meat xlb. We also ordered their special golden shrimp roll. It was delicious and fresh, but it was not that special. I must be missing what makes it a special. The pig-shaped custard buns were cute and delicious. They gave us 3 different colored pigs; we wondered if they had different custard flavors but they were all regular custard. I would get them again. We would probably try their strawberry chocolate xlb for dessert next time! It was an enjoyable dinner, and we would come again!
This is 2sd visit. Food is delicious. Dry noodles bean dishes are good but a bit oily. Dumplings still the best.
First off the apps on the house, so freaking good really salty though. Everything we ordered was good and I believe this is a Taipei style cooking. One of my family’s go to places. Our server was super nice and friendly
I have been here so many times, but this is the first time that I could review this place. During the other times we ate all the food before we could take photos of them. This place offer extremely delicious dumplings. They are so moist, and their skin is so appropriately thin. Side dishes are okay. Noodles are diabolical and can be skipped. Noodles are too soft and mushy for my taste. Service is good and quite fast. Waiters are polite. Ambiance is fine in the front, but the bathrooms are a bit tragic.
Finally got to try Din Ding and I actually really enjoyed it considering pricing is on the higher end for what's offered from what I'm used to There was no wait since we came early enough for our weekend lunch and got the last available table (nice)! We ordered XLB (piping hot, soupy, and flavorful), potstickers (crispy + juicy), garlic noodles (nutty flavor, al dente), and bok choy (honestly didn't need the bok choy but it's delicious too). Happy to come back another time to try other items. Seating is on the tight side and the lunch atmosphere is super lively.
